Straightforward AC service for Woodlands homes from a small, family-owned Trane dealer. Same-day service whenever possible.
The Woodlands is all tall pines, winding streets and villages, and homes here range from the original Grogan's Mill and Panther Creek houses to newer builds in Creekside Park. Cooling Technicians LLC is owner-operated by Adam Naquin, who has run the business from Tomball since 2012. We're a short drive over, and we treat your house like a neighbor's. Call (832) 420-4145 or (832) 302-4608.

What the Pines Do to Your AC
- Needles, pollen and coils. The forest is the whole point of The Woodlands, but pine needles collect in and on condenser units, and that yellow spring pollen coats coils and filters. Clean coils move heat; dirty ones make the compressor work harder.
- Shaded yards, damp conditions. Heavy shade and humidity can keep outdoor units damp and dirty, which is hard on electrical parts like contactors and capacitors over time.
- Village-era systems. Many homes in the older villages have had their equipment replaced once or twice, sometimes without updating ducts or drain setups. We look at the whole system, not just the box in the yard.
- Attic flex duct. Same as everywhere in the Houston area: the attic gets brutally hot, tape fails, and flex duct separates from the plenum. We re-attach and seal it with mastic or UL-181 foil tape and a strap.
- Drain lines and humidity. Algae-clogged condensate lines and full drain pans are a summer regular.
Our Tune-Up Covers
- Inspect and check the outdoor condenser coil and indoor evaporator coil
- Check refrigerant pressures
- Test the capacitor and contactor
- Flush the condensate drain line
- Check the air filter
- Check and tighten electrical connections
- Check thermostat operation
You'll get an explanation and options before any repair. With all the pollen here, check 1" filters closer to monthly in spring; the general rule is every 1 to 3 months for 1" and 6 to 12 months for 4" to 5" media filters.
