AC Repair and Tune-Ups in Klein, TX
A family-owned, licensed Trane dealer next door in Tomball, keeping Klein homes cool since 2012, with same-day service whenever possible.
Klein isn't a city on a map so much as a big, settled stretch of Northwest Harris County between 249 and I-45, and we've been working in it for years. Cooling Technicians LLC is owner-operated: Adam Naquin started the company in Tomball in 2012, and the person who answers your call is part of a small family business, not a call center. From Gleannloch Farms and Champion Forest to Northampton and Memorial Northwest, give us a ring at (832) 302-4608 or (832) 420-4145.
Repairs, Tune-Ups and Emergency Service in Klein
Our regular hours run every day of the week, Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. If something breaks after 7:00 PM, emergency service is available 365 days a year, and we'll try to get to you the same day whenever we can.
- AC tune-up: $94
- Repair diagnostic: $94 to track down the problem, waived if you go ahead with the repair
- After-hours calls (outside 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM): $120, waived when we do the repair
We service central AC, heat pumps, furnaces and ductless mini-splits. Window units and portable room ACs aren't something we repair.
What We Run Into in Klein Homes
A lot of Klein was built out from the 1970s through the 2000s, and the trees are a big part of why people love it here. Those same things shape what goes wrong with an AC:
- Mature trees and the outdoor unit. Leaves, pollen and cottonwood fluff pack into condenser coils, and a clogged coil makes the system run hotter and longer. A good rinse during a tune-up makes a real difference.
- Second- and third-generation equipment. In established neighborhoods like Memorial Northwest and Champion Forest, the system in the yard often isn't the first one the house has had, and older duct work may not match the newer equipment.
- Attic duct connections. Klein attics bake all summer. Flex duct taped to a plenum or boot eventually lets go, and the cold air you're paying for ends up in the attic. Re-sealing with mastic or UL-181 tape and a strap fixes it.
- Humidity and drain lines. Houston-area humidity means your AC pulls gallons of water a day. Algae in the condensate line is one of the most common reasons we get a "my AC shut off" call.
Our Tune-Up Checklist
- Inspect and check the outdoor condenser coil and the indoor evaporator coil
- Check refrigerant pressures
- Test the capacitor and contactor
- Flush the condensate drain line
- Check the air filter
- Check and tighten electrical connections
- Check thermostat operation
Anything we find, we explain first and give you options before doing any repair. Between visits, swap 1" filters every 1 to 3 months; 4" to 5" media filters usually go 6 to 12 months.

Klein AC Questions
How fast can you get to Klein? We're close by in Tomball, so same-day is often possible. Call (832) 302-4608 or (832) 420-4145 early and we'll fit you in as soon as we can. In a heat wave we'll be honest about timing.
My outdoor unit is under a big tree. Is that a problem? It can be. Shade is fine, but leaves and debris clog the coil and block airflow. Keep a couple of feet clear around the unit and have the coil cleaned at your tune-up.
What does a tune-up or diagnostic cost? A tune-up is $94. A repair diagnostic is $94 and is waived when you go ahead with the repair.
Do you come out after 7:00 PM? Yes. Emergency service runs 365 days a year. After-hours calls are $120, waived if we do the repair.
Can you fix my Carrier (or Lennox, or Goodman)? Yes. We sell and install Trane, but we repair and service all major brands.
Repair or replace? We'll tell you straight. Replacement estimates are free, and Wisetack financing is available.
